Leslie Sharon Carson, 62

January 03, 2026

Leslie Sharon Carson, 62, of Lititz, passed away, Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Lancaster General Hospital with her husband and daughter by her side. She shared almost 42 years of marriage with her husband Dean S. Carson.

Born in West Chester, Leslie was the daughter of Clinton Young, Sr. and the late Helen (Townsend) Thomas. Leslie graduated from Octorara High School in 1981, and she also attended Coatesville Vo-Tech for cosmetology.

Leslie worked at A & W Screen Printing in Ephrata where she made many friends and enjoyed her co-workers. Leslie was also a wonderful homemaker for her family.

A Girl Scout in her youth, she was a Leader and the cookie sales coordinator while her daughter Amanda was active in scouting. Leslie had a special loving relationship with her grandson Easton and loved attending his sporting events. She loved animals, working outside, and visiting the family cabin in Lycoming County, and Ocean City, MD. Leslie also enjoyed socializing with her neighbors.

In addition to husband Dean, Leslie is survived by her daughter Amanda Carson and Grandson Easton Trollinger, both of Lititz, her siblings, Teresa, wife of Don Watson of Paradise, Clinton Young, Jr., husband of the late Diane of Christiana, and L. James Thomas, husband of Jessica of Wrightsville. She is also survived by her father Clinton Young, Sr. of Intercourse, her stepmother Viola Young of Gap, and several loving nieces and nephews. Preceding Leslie in death were her mother Helen (Townsend) Thomas and her stepfather L. James Thomas, Sr.

Leslie’s family will greet friends on Monday, January 12, 2026, from 10-11 am, followed by the funeral at 11 am at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Interment will be in Rothsville Lutheran Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a contribution in Leslie’s memory to Humane Pennsylvania, 2195 Lincoln Hwy. East, Lancaster, PA 17602.

Dean, Amanda, Easton and Jimmy. My heart feels a pain that I know cannot compare to yours. I also know as long as our memories are shared out loud and in our minds , she will always be by our side. The laughter of our childhood shenanigans will stay in my ears and heart. Secrets and scraped knees, and a few broken hearts were always set to the best music as were wedding vows with you Dean those many years ago and the joy of new life…Amanda and Easton
I’m beyond grateful of the pull of the universe to visit her last month.  The laughter was like it was 1970 all over again. Our friendship strong as if years had not passed and I knew it the minute I pulled up to see her WTH face followed by hugs and all the updates since we saw each other last. That was just her and just us ❤️
My words to you will fall short I’m sure but know you are all in my thoughts and prayers and that she loved you all MORE. ❤️❤️
Hugs and love,
Bridget

Leslie was certainly a personality even as a child could translate letters into words as a toddler. My grandmother said she was the most active child she knew and she raised 9 children.  I could write a book about that special person who turned out to be even more special to so many people.   Certainly will miss her calls and funny stories.  I know she is in heaven and in her words as a 3 year old “live happily after ever”.  I know she wishes this for all the people in her life in heaven and still fondly remembering.
