Kathryn “Kathy” A. Carr, 68

Kathryn “Kathy” A. Carr, 68, of Lancaster, PA, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy. She is now dancing and running, free from her wheelchair and no more need of a Hoyer lift. Her sweet spirit will always be remembered.

Born in Cincinnati, OH, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy J. (Horn) Carr. She graduated from Norristown Area High School and from Edinboro University in 1983 with a degree in Art History.

In the past, Kathy volunteered at the Landis Valley Museum as a historical interpreter and for the Tenant Association at Ruoff Tower. She loved to cook, read, play strategy games on her computer, do bible study, go to camp and listen to music. Kathy adored her Irish Heritage.

She spent her adventurous times with “Adaptive Sports” from Baltimore including snow skiing, kayaking and tubing with her close friend Gina Baum. She and some of her friends took a cruise to the Caribbean. Kathy also enjoyed the years in her penthouse apartment at Ruoff Tower in Lancaster.

A viewing will take place from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, with a Life Celebration Service to follow at 12:00 pm in Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Rd, Lancaster, PA 17601. Kathy will be laid to rest at Landis Valley Mennonite Cemetery, Lancaster at 2:30pm on Tuesday.
