Iris Hutchinson, age 52, of York, entered eternal rest on November 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Trenton, NJ, she was the eldest daughter of Marvin Reese and Margaree (Bethea) Lee.
Throughout her life, Iris exemplified deep faith, forging connections with various church communities wherever she called home. Her unwavering commitment to her spirituality was complemented by her zest for life, as she participated wholeheartedly in church activities and embraced the joys of her family’s milestones. Known for her innocence and purity, Iris had a remarkable ability to connect with others, never meeting a stranger and always radiating optimism through her steadfast beliefs.

Iris’s world revolved around her family, especially her beloved grandson, whom she treasured deeply. She took great delight in creating memories with loved ones, often enjoying the thrills of theme parks and the vibrancy of parades. Her genuine wish for the best for others shaped the many lives she touched, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
She is survived by her mother Margaree Lee; husband, George Hutchinson of New Jersey; a son, Michael Berry of Georgia; grandson, Mikaha Berry; and siblings, Tracie Bathea of York, George Lee of Maryland, Timothy Lee, Anthony Lee, and Brian Lee, all of Georgia, as well as 3 nieces, Tyyana Spragley of Philadelphia, Kayla Johnson, and Jayden Exford of York, 2 nephews, George Lee Jr., and Ethan Lee of Maryland and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in passing by her father, Marvin Reese.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Iris’ honor to Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Center.
