Kirk Andrew Luther, 57
November 01, 2025
Kirk Andrew Luther, 57, of Lititz, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly in Aurora, Colorado,
on November 1, 2025, while on an anniversary trip with his loving wife of 28 years and lifelong
partner of 40 years, Michelle.
Born in New Haven, Connecticut, on May 16, 1968, Kirk grew up in Jersey Shore,
Pennsylvania, where he graduated from Jersey Shore High School in 1986. He went on to
attend both Bucknell and Lincoln Universities.
Kirk was known for his deep kindness, patience, and humor. He would do anything for anyone
and never cared much for things—only for people. His two great passions were his family and
sports, and he poured himself into both. Over the years, he coached several travel softball
teams as well as the Manheim Township High School varsity softball team. He also found joy in
umpiring baseball and established deep friendships within his Keystone Umpires family, where
he was a trusted leader. More recently, Kirk refereed other sports as well. He cherished the
many friendships built on those fields and courts and took pride in helping young athletes grow
in confidence and character.
At the time of his passing, Kirk was a project manager for Switchgear Solutions in Lititz. He
loved his work and was deeply respected by his colleagues, but his heart was always most at
home with his family and in service to others.
He was predeceased by his mother, H. Jane Luther, and is survived by his wife Michelle;
daughters Amelia of Seattle and Devin of Lititz; his devoted dog, Baxter; and two cats, Jack and
Winnie, whom he claimed to dislike, though he was often caught petting them.
Kirk had a dry wit and a big, contagious laugh, and his humor was as warm and generous as he
was. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, loyalty, and quiet strength—and an enduring
example of what it means to live with an open, giving spirit.
Services will be held on Saturday, November 22, at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home in
Lititz, Pennsylvania. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by a service at 11:00
a.m. A private inurnment will take place afterward.
