Charles E. Starks, III, 76, of Lititz, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Born in East Chicago, Indiana, he was the son of the late Evelyn Borman and Charles E. Starks, II.
Chuck, as he was affectionately known, was the beloved husband of Olivia (Espinosa) Starks, with whom he shared 40 years of marriage. Together, they built a life grounded in love, family, and faith.
A proud veteran, Chuck served his country as a member of the United States Army. During his deployment to Vietnam, he served in an aeromedical evacuation unit known as “Dustoff”. In this capacity, he supported the movement of wounded Soldiers from battlefields to medical facilities, providing critical lifesaving care under arduous conditions. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. His sense of duty, integrity, and quiet strength remained constants throughout his life, shaping the man he was to all who knew him.
Chuck was an accomplished computer programmer whose career spanned over 30 years. He received his Bachelors in Computer Science from Indiana University and his Masters in Computer Science at Stevens Institute of Technology.
Chuck will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Olivia; his cherished daughters, Dr. Alexandria Starks and Carlotta Starks; and his two adored grandchildren, Nico & Maya Rommel. He is survived by his brother Robert Starks, and three sisters Vivian Ritter, Virginia Starks & Valerie Lastition. He was preceded by his brother Henry Starks. Charles was a passionate reader who enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.
A service in honor of his life will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Family and friends
