Siegfried (Sieg) Harold Dreer, 90
November 06, 2025
Siegfried (Sieg) Harold Dreer, age 90, passed away peacefully in his home November 6th, 2025. He is now reunited with his bride, Dorothy (Dee) Dreer after missing her terribly for over 3 years.
Born June 17th, 1935, in Stuttgart Germany, he had a hard childhood growing up during WWII along with his sister Marga Alseike (87 living in Scottsdale Az.). If you knew Sieg he didn’t share these stories until he was much older. The situations and obstacles he encountered created a great man who all respected and admired.
Sieg moved to America in the 1950’s, joined the Army where he served for 4 years. He met Dorothy, fell in love and they married in 1960. He worked at the Naval Yard in Philadelphia for several years and started a family.
Sieg was so hard working he was convinced by his peers and mentors to start his own business, where he succeeded for many years doing plumbing and heating. Worked several plumbing jobs until finally settling in with the Department of General Service’s for Pennsylvania where he eventually retired in the mid 1990’s as a regional manager.
Sieg was a member of the masonic lodge, member of the Lancaster Liederkranz, and devoted member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ephrata Pa.
Sieg loved meeting new people, sharing stories, telling jokes and making everyone laugh. Although he missed Dee for the last 3 + years he never lost his love for life. Most recently he went to Germany with some of his children and church friends where he enjoyed the time immensely. Some of his other passions were hunting, fishing boating, gardening (vegetables), Phillies and Eagles, and spending time with family.
He leaves behind his children, George E Dreer (Denise) of Niagara Falls NY, Kristina D Black (Charlie) of York Pa, Joseph H Dreer (Jill) of Morgantown Pa, and David A Dreer (Tammy) of Lancaster Pa, along with many grand and great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, November 14, 2025 at the Charle F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543.

Condolences to the Family

My Dad was my daily laughter and my steady strength. For over three years, our home held his presence- his stories, his jokes, his warmth. Now the silence is heavy, and I miss him with an ache that has no words. I will carry his love like a heartbeat inside me until I see him again. Kris Black

While there’s virtually nothing anyone can say or do in the face of losing a beloved father and grandfather that can make your grief any easier to bear, if it helps at all, please know that others are thinking of you and feeling for you. Connie Kirby (Salem Lutheran)

I would like to express my condolences to the family and community that had the opportunity to know Mr. Dreer. I have known this family for a short time but feel as if they are real and friendly people, with incredible stories to share. The trip to Germany will hopefully be a long time reminder of the lifetime of love shared during good times, hopefully these are the moments that will become a part of his legacy. All the best to the family. Tom Kifer
