Diana L. Coyne, 77
October 28, 2025
Diana L. Coyne, 77, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025. Born on November 14, 1947, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Leora and Robert Brathuhn, Diana lived a life marked by devotion to family, professional excellence, and joyful adventure.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Dick Coyne, and her four children: Kristin Coyne (partner Brian Wagner) of Forest Hill, MD; Jeffery Hoeflich (wife Angela) of New Windsor, MD; Andy Hoeflich (wife Dawn) of Westminster, MD; and Kevin Coyne (wife Aimee Lim) of Tallahassee, FL. Diana also leaves behind her cherished brother, Robert Brathune (wife Carol) of Ponte Vedra, FL; sister-in-law Jan Coyne of Lake Mary, FL; niece Christina Butora (husband Robert) of Alexandria, VA; and former husband Bruce Hoeflich (wife Vernita) of Omaha, NE.
Diana built a successful career as an office manager and accounting specialist, contributing her talents to several civil construction firms throughout the Baltimore and Washington D.C. region. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Diana and Dick shared a deep love of travel. Together, they explored the United States and more than 20 countries, gathering cherished memories and lifelong friendships that brought them lasting joy.
Above all, Diana found her greatest fulfillment in being a devoted mother and grandmother. Her eight grandchildren, Kyle, Nick, Ava, Thomas, Drew, Austin, Colin, and Jonathan, were the light of her life. She poured her heart into caring for them, and their love for her was a constant source of happiness.
Diana’s life was also grounded in a deep and abiding faith in God, which guided her with strength, grace, and compassion. Her faith was a quiet but steady presence in her life, offering comfort and purpose throughout every season.
A service to honor Diana’s life will be held at Snyder Funeral Home in Willow Street, PA, on Wednesday, November 5. Visitation begins at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Diana’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a cause close to her heart.

Tom and I share many wonderful memories with Dick and Diana- time spent at Liberty High School where we cheered for our children playing lacrosse, football, soccer and band. Such fun. Diana was an active band booster. In later years, we enjoyed traveling with them to Las Vegas and fun shows, to Florida and a cruise to Bermuda where we enjoyed a taxi tour guide around the beautiful island. We enjoyed staying with them at their place in Ocean City and we witnessed Jeff getting married on the beach. Diana was always the hostess with the mostest. Our most common bond was our love for family and especially time with our precious grandchildren. Her faith was strong and this knowledge will hopefully give Dick and all her family comfort and peace to know she is with Jesus. Love, Peggy and Tom Hopwood

During her final days at the Glen I visited often and I could see her failing bit by bit. However, she would never complain. She would just smile and shake her nead. I knew she was uncomfortable, and no doubt in pain, but she would always give me a smile. Her smile is my very fond memory that I shall cherish. Charlie Meyer

“Grief never ends … But it changes. It’s a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith. It is the price of love.”

We met Diana less than two years ago, when we moved to Willow Valley. In that short time Diana became a dear friend. We enjoyed dinners and visits with her and appreciated her engaging smile. We are glad we had the opportunity to meet her and wish we had a chance to know her better. Safe passage, Diana.

I am Diana’s grandson Thomas. Myself and my family are grieving with the recent passing of my Grandmother. I have great memories of Nana taking care of me as a child. I fondly remember the simple times we had like playing a board games or sharing egg sandwiches for breakfast. I take solace in the thought that Nana would be pleased with the life she led and very proud of the family she raised. Nana was a big reason why all of her children and grandchildren have turned out to be such great people and I feel that she was very proud of all of us. She will always hold a place in my heart.
Rest peacfully Nana,
Love Thomas
