Alexander Benedict MacFeat, 22
January 5, 2003 - October 12, 2025
With heavy hearts but fond memories, we announce the passing of Alexander Benedict MacFeat, a radiant soul who brought joy to everyone around him. Born on January 5, 2003, in Lancaster, PA, Alex was a bright beacon of laughter and positivity, who fought valiantly through his treatments, always with a smile on his face. After his battle with cancer, Alex passed on October 12, 2025, at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
A 2022 graduate of Lampeter-Strasburg High School, Alex was not just a student; he had a vibrant sense of humor and was an adventurer at heart. He had a knack for building intricate Lego creations, enjoyed hiking and family game nights, and proudly earned his black belt in karate at Mimidas Karate in Lancaster. His love for Jesus, family and life left a mark on everyone he met.
Alex is survived by his loving parents, Scott and Amanda MacFeat of Lancaster, a sister, Morgan MacFeat, his paternal grandparents, Scott & Sharon MacFeat of Columbia and Suzanne & John Knadig of Mountville, and maternal grandparents, Richard & Sharon Hershey of Strasburg, as well as his biological mother, Esther Benedict and biological sister, Sally Benedict, both of Lancaster.
The family will greet guests on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Refton Brethren In Christ Church, 110 Church Street, Refton, PA 17568, from 4 PM – 6 PM. A Celebration of Alex’s life will be held at the church on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, beginning at 11 AM, with a greeting from 10 AM until the time of service. Memorial contributions are encouraged to be made in honor of Alex to the CHOP Child Life Department for specific patient needs: https://www.chop.edu/centers-programs/child-life-education-and-creative-arts-therapy/donate
