Patsy Ann Aukamp, 94
October 04, 2025
Patsy Ann Aukamp, 94, of New Providence, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center, following a brief illness. Born on March 17, 1931, in Lititz, to the late Jim and Minnie Roth, Patsy’s life was a testimony of unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, who anchored her through every season, as Hebrews 13:5, her treasured verse says: “For God has said, ‘I will never, never fail you nor forsake you!” This promise was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her with hope and strength.
Patsy was the devoted wife of Jesse Aukamp, with whom she shared 50 years of marriage until his passing in 2003.
After graduating from Lititz High School, Patsy worked at Hamilton Watch in Lancaster until becoming a devoted homemaker and loving mother to her four children. When Joe needed a 3rd baseball player she took the position of pitcher. When Jim returned home from hunting, she would pluck the feathers from geese, ducks and turkeys. She and Vince shared the same high standard of neatness, and she lost count of how many vans she bought for him. She helped catch Jill’s horse whenever he got away despite her reluctance and fear. Her legacy endures through her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she loved and prayed for faithfully.
She was an active member of Smithville Church of God and later Liberty Baptist Church in Ephrata. She loved to sing, and you could often find her singing at church and at home.
Patsy is survived by her children, Joseph Aukamp (Carol), James Aukamp (Jean), Vincent Aukamp and Jill Butler (Skip); her 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Gena Yoder, Joyce Spangler, Lucille Ragan, and Linda McGee.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Wally Roth, Larry Roth, and Vince Roth.
A viewing and visitation will be held on Monday October 13, 2025, 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike. Interment will follow at Conestoga Memorial Park.
Patsy’s life reminds us all of God’s faithful promise: He will never leave us nor forsake us.
