Arthur J. DiFuria, 92
September 15, 2025
Arthur J. DiFuria, age 92, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2025. Arthur was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. He was the son of the late Frank DiFuria and Mildred Calabrese DiFuria. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Loretta Tartaglione DiFuria.
Arthur graduated from South Philadelphia High School for Boys and went on to graduate from Temple University with a degree in accounting.
He was employed by Fernald and Co. Accounting before entering the U.S Army in 1955. He was stationed at Fort Rucker in Dothan, AL in the helicopter division.
He worked for Kiwi Brands Inc. of Pottstown, PA for many years as Chief Financial Officer / Vice President and retired in 1989. He also served as an officer on Pottstown’s Tri-County Chamber of Commerce and as a director on the Downingtown Area District School Board.
Art loved all sports and was a diehard Philadelphia sports team fan. An avid fan of the Eagles, Flyers, and Phillies, he never missed a game. He was a gifted athlete who played stick ball and hose ball growing up in the streets of Philadelphia. He played for his company basketball team and actively participated in adult senior volleyball and softball leagues in Chester County for many years.
He loved live theater and going to the movies. Much to the delight of his kids, he enjoyed reenacting Gene Kelly’s umbrella dance scene in Singing in the Rain as well as imitating the Cowardly Lion from The Wizard of Oz. Though not a musician, he loved music and always deadpanned that his greatest musical talent was “playing the radio.”
He was a devoted husband and a fantastic, loving father. He centered his whole life around providing for — and taking care of — his family. He always put their welfare first and his own last.
Art leaves behind three children who gave him much pride and happiness: Daughters, Mary M. Rambo of Leesburg, VA, Dr. Frances A. Miller, (husband, Dr. Matthew) of Conestoga, PA., and a son, Dr. Arthur J. DiFuria, Jr., (wife, Nancy Wenzel-DiFuria) of Savannah, GA.
Arthur felt very blessed and proud to have six caring and loving grandchildren and two great grandchildren: Grandson Kenton D. Rambo of Spotsylvania, VA, Elizabeth Rambo Jensen, (husband, Alex) of Charles Town, WV, Blayre Miller Wright (husband, Brandon) of Nashua, NH, Tess Miller Feiler of Philadelphia, PA, Luc Wenzel-DiFuria and Anna Celeste DiFuria of Savannah, GA, and great grandchildren Avyanna Rambo of Spotsylvania, VA and Parker James Wright of Nashua, NH.
There will be no viewing or funeral. Art has donated his body to The Humanity Gifts Registry for Medical Science. A memorial service and visitation for family and friends will be announced at a later date.
Please, no flowers or planters. If you are so inclined, Art and his family would appreciate donations be sent to The Mennonite Home Communities Benevolent Fund, payable to “Tandem Living” at 2001 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, PA, 17601
