Nancy Ann Weaber, 73
August 28, 2025
Nancy Ann Weaber, age 73, unexpectedly passed away on August 28, 2025, at her home. Born in Pottsville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Alphonsus and Anna Mae (Shevokis) Matalavage and the loving and devoted wife of James R. Weaber of Lititz.
A passionate fan of football, Nancy was an avid fan of Penn State and the Philadelphia Eagles. She enjoyed gathering with her friends and family to play cards, where times were filled with laughter and camaraderie, and she also loved to read and observe the beauty of nature through birdwatching. She looked forward to many getaways to The Borgata with her husband and sister, and being an adventurous spirit, Nancy traveled extensively and enjoyed wonderful experiences from around the world.
Nancy was a faithful parishioner of St. James Catholic Church, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years.
In addition to her husband, James, Nancy is survived by her beloved sister, Joan M. Sterr (wife of Robert) of North Carolina; her sister in-law Judy Matalavage; her brother in-law Robert J. Weaber (husband of Denise) and her nieces: Jill Taylor, Karen Matalavage and Stephanie Kim and one nephew: Mark Matalavage as well as her cherished friends: James and Mary Kreider and their children, Jimmy and Marisa.
In addition to her parents, Alphonsus and Anna, Nancy is preceded in death by her brother Ronald Matalavage.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at St. James Catholic Church, 505 Woodcrest Ave, Lititz, PA 17543, from 10am to 11am with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11am. Burial will be held at Mount Annville Cemetery in Lebanon.

I enjoyed teaching with Nancy at PVHS, where she was an accomplished history seventh grade team member. She was always ready to help others, teachers or students. I will be away during her service, but I wish her loved ones many blessings and happy memories of a wonderful woman.

My deepest condolences to Jim, Joan and the rest of the family. I will miss my dear friend, Nancy, so much! Even though we lived far apart, whenever I came to Pennsylvania from Montana to visit family, we always got together for fun reminiscing and card playing. Nancy is now with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and I know I will see her again. Mary Loney
