Wendy Sullivan, 59

Wendy Sullivan passed away surrounded by her family on August 13, 2025, at the age of 59. Born in Pottstown, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Nora (Dowhunick) Updegrove.

An avid gardener, Wendy delighted in cultivating both vegetables and flowers, finding joy in nurturing life and watching her garden flourish. Her love for nature extended to camping trips at the beach, where she found solace in the waves and sand, with Lewes, Delaware, being her favorite escape. Wendy had a soft spot for animals and had a creative side that shone through her passion for building with LEGO sets.

Wendy is survived by her husband, Tony Sullivan; three daughters: Aleshia Welch (wife of Brian) of Las Vegas, NV., Samanthia Nixdorf (wife of Derek) of Lititz and Theresa Nixdorf of Manheim; five grandchildren: Jonathan Welch, Chase Shifflet, Martin Nixdorf-Dombach, Hayden Hughes and Natalie Flowers; three siblings: Michelle Young (wife of Jay), Todd Updegrove and Robert Updegrove (wife of Cheryl), as well as her cherished cat Zimba.

In addition to her parents, Wendy is preceded in death by her sister Kimberly Weaver, her nephew Jerry Trimble and niece Kathy Boyd.

A celebration of Wendy’s life will be held privately at the convenience by the family.

Wendy will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her nurturing nature, love for family, and passion for life will forever be remembered in the hearts of those she touched.
