Donald “Mike” Greenawalt, Jr., 70

Donald “Mike” Greenawalt, Jr., 70, surrounded by his family, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 2, 2025, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Judith and Donald M. Greenawalt, Sr. Mike was the husband of Cindy Greenawalt and together they celebrated 52 years of marriage.
Mike worked as a maintenance mechanic at the Holtwood Power Plant of PPL for 34 years. He was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting & fishing. He was a long-time member of the Pequea Boat Club spending family time each summer boating and water skiing on the Susquehanna. Mike enjoyed family vacations at the beach & at Raystown Lake. Mike took great pride in being the family handy man always fixing anything & everything up until the end. Mike, affectionately known as “Pop Pop”, loved his grandchildren and was a fixture at any of their sporting & school events. Many others knew him as Pop Pop, as well.
In addition to his wife, Cindy, Mike is survived by his children: April Robertson wife of Neil, Angie Greenawalt and Justin Greenawalt; 7 grandchildren: Jayden, Aeriel, Ashton, Landon, Nya, Nevaeh and Jessa; and 2 sisters: Trina Barr wife of Jay & Joni Brandt wife of Ken.
Mike is preceded in death by 2 brothers: Neal & Jeff Greenawalt.
Family & Friends will be received from 2-3 PM with a Memorial Service to begin at 3 PM on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at Community Bible Church, 331 Anderson Ferry Rd, Marietta, PA 17547. A reception will follow the service.

I worked with Mike and his sister Trina at Brereton manor. Mike’s death leaves me very sad as he was and will always be one of the kindest and lovely people I have ever met. He was smart and so helpful with any task he was given and always offered to help in any way. My heart goes out to has family as Mike leaving this world leaves a large hole. Cynt
