Dorothy H. Hartman, 100, of Ephrata, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025. She was born in York on September 26, 1924, the daughter of the late William and Miriam (Welsh) Huntsman. She graduated from high school in Williamsport, PA, and earned her nursing degree from Temple University. In 1985, she was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Lowell Hartman.

Dot was a devoted homemaker, mother, and grandmother, and cherished the time spent with her family. Dot had a passion for golfing and was a member at the Lebanon Country Club. She was a volunteer at First UMC Ephrata and Ephrata Public Library. She enjoyed visiting new restaurants, March trips to Florida with her sister Ruth Clarke, family vacations to the beach, bowling, and crocheting. Dot had a great group of friends that she loved spending time with. She will be remembered as a patient, kind, loving, and fun lady and she will be sorely missed.

Dot is survived by 3 children: Dr. Craig Hartman (Janice), Diane Wealand (Kevin), and Jeffrey Hartman (Denise); daughter-in-law Lauren Hartman, 7 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Gary Hartman, 2 brothers, and 1 sister.
