Boyd L. Knepp, Jr., 75, of Lancaster, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Masonic Village, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Lewistown, PA, Boyd was the son of the late Flora (Gross) and Boyd L. Knepp, Sr., and the beloved husband of Dollie D. (Garber) Knepp.
A 1967 graduate of Manheim Central High School, Boyd was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his family. He was employed by Alcoa for many years prior to his retirement, where he was respected for his commitment and diligence.
Boyd’s life was rooted in his faith and relationship with Jesus Christ, which shaped everything he did. He was a devoted family man who consistently put others before himself—always providing, always supporting, and always leading with strength and compassion. His family was the center of his world.
Boyd is survived by his loving wife Dollie; his children, Boyd E. Knepp, husband of Michelle, of Mount Joy, and Holly Martin of Maytown; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his siblings: Lorraine “Patricia” Reese (Bob), Donald Knepp, Cathy Arndt, Sharon Gustafson, and Jon Knepp (Tammy); as well as a sister-in-law, Deborah Knepp, and several nieces and nephews. Condolences to the Family

Dear Knepp Family,
I had the joy and privilege of meeting Dollie and Boyd about 2-1/2 years ago, during the Christmas season 2022. As part of the staff at Lancaster Bible College, I wanted to meet them and tell them how much their devotion to LBC has meant to the College all these years. Although that was the one and only time I met Boyd, it was so evident that he has the heart of a compassionate and kind servant. As I read Boyd’s obituary, I nodded in total agreement with the beautiful description of his life and ministry.
I am so very sorry for the loss of this humble man who served others wholeheartedly. May his legacy of love for our Lord and God’s people carry on through all the generations to follow.
With deep gratitude for this saint,
Rila Hackett (Lancaster Bible College)
