Daniel Nast Gallucci, 55

December 29, 1969 - May 05, 2025

Daniel Nast Gallucci (Dan), of Philadelphia, formerly of Lancaster, PA passed away peacefully at his home in Philadelphia on May 5, 2025.

Dan was born in Mount Holly, New Jersey, on December 29, 1969. He grew up with his brother Michael in Mount Holly and neighboring Moorestown before moving to Lancaster, Pennsylvania during grade school. Dan attended St. Leo the Great, and then Hempfield High School, where he was a standout track-and-field athlete. Dan received his undergraduate degree from Gettysburg College, and he earned his Juris Doctor at the Dickinson School of Law. After law school, Dan clerked for the Honorable Michael Georgelis, and then joined RodaNast, P.C., where he secured several landmark personal injury verdicts. Dan then joined Nastlaw LLC, based in Philadelphia, where he worked on a number of national mass tort and antitrust cases.

Dan loved to fish, a passion he discovered in early childhood through his grandfather, and one which he pursued throughout his life at destinations all over the world. When at home, Dan could often be found checking the daily bluefish reports. Dan also loved Philadelphia sports, especially the Phillies and Eagles. He was particularly fond of his cats, of which he had many over the years. He was an avid skier and ping-pong player. He loved to travel internationally and spend time with his family and friends.

Dan is survived by his mother, Dianne Nast, his stepfather, Joseph F. Roda, his father, Michael Gallucci, his two daughters, Olivia and Ava Gallucci, their mother Kimberly Gallucci, his two younger brothers, Joseph and Joshua Roda (Dan’s older brother Michael Nast passed away in December 2004), his younger sister Anastasia Nast, and of course his beloved cat Schmoo.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Dan’s Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 12Noon at St. Leo the Great Church 2427 Marietta Ave. Lancaster, PA 17601 with Msgr. Peter Hahn as Celebrant. A viewing for family and friends will be held at the church from 10:30AM until the time of Mass. There will be a celebration of life immediately following the Mass at Lancaster Country Club.

Condolences to the Family

May 14, 2025

Dan’s Family, I was profoundly saddened to see Dan’s death notice when reading the paper. I was priviledged to be one of his religion teachers at St. Leo the Great. Dan was always prepared and willing to enter into sincere dialogue. He was engaged, engaging and fully present. He was more interested in being real rather than seeming ‘cool’. It was indeed a priviledge to companion Dan, even if only briefly, on his God journey. I will pray that this time will be as gentle with all those whose love surrounded Dan as possible. Peace and prayers,  Joy Smith Linton

my wife and I were so sorry to hear of Dan’s passing. I’m sure Mike was there to meet him in heaven. They’re probably both hunting. my earliest memories of Mike and Dan was when I brought my beagle dog slick to your farm. to teach them how to hunt, rabbits and pheasants. Good memories of both young men. will see them in heaven someday I’m sure.

I knew Dan from high school, I felt really bad what happened to his brother. We’re here for such a short period of time, one is never prepared for this kind of thing. It kinda leaves you with an empty feeling inside, knowing that you must continue on and live for those you have gone on before you. Sometimes, it’s not so easy. You have my sincere condolences.
