Marie also spent time designing and sewing for Sight and Sound Theater, and also helped in the creative department for Janelle Berte Studios in Lancaster. Marie created lasting memories and cherished great friends through her time helping at Lancaster Catholic High School Band Parents Association.
Most of all, Marie loved spending time with her late husband and family, especially her beloved grandchild, Sophie.
Marie is survived by her children, John C. Stauffer, III, of East Petersburg, wife Heather and grandchild Sophia; daughter Wendy Forshey wife of Jason Forshey of Lancaster; her sisters, Anne V. Beigel wife of Nicholas Beigel, nephew Bob, niece Donna of Kettering, OH; Helen Beigel of Centerville, OH, Patricia Clark, niece Stephanie (and family), nephew, Chad (and family) of Lancaster. Dear Family of Marie,
I remember all the Ganse family. We attended St Anthony’s and LCHS together. Our Parents were friends and neighbors. I also worked at LCHS with Marie. Marie a truly lovely lady and gentle person who now has earned her wings. Prayers of comfort to the family. I am wishing you have precious memories to keep her near. Sincerely, Linda Wiser Childs

Marie and John were band parents with me. We enjoyed many fun times on the road following LCHS marching band to competitions and at home football games. It was a joy to be with them. Wendy became like a second daughter to me through her friendship with my daughter Tracy. I will always remember Marie as a caring person and a great friend. Rest now Marie, your work on earth is complete.
