Yvonne Elizabeth Lefever, 87
March 14, 2025
Yvonne Elizabeth Lefever (nee Wright), 87, passed away on March 14, 2025, in Lancaster. Born on November 29, 1937, in Lancaster, Yvonne spent her life dedicated to family, hard work, and a deep love of music and culture.
A proud graduate of J.P., McCaskey High School, class of 1955, Yvonne worked tirelessly throughout her life in various roles. However, the most fulfilling chapter of her career was as a nanny, a role she embraced for 17 years with unwavering devotion.
Raising four children independently, Yvonne exemplified strength and resilience. She was an incredible mother- fiercely protective yet endlessly loving-instilling in her children the values of faith and compassion. She had zero tolerance for bad behavior but an infinite capacity for unconditional love.
Music was a cornerstone of Yvonne’s life. She loved all genres and played music constantly, passing the passion down through generations. As a member of both the Lancaster Musical Arts Society and the Lancaster Italian Culture Society, she found joy in community and cultural enrichment. Thursday nights at Valentino’s were a cherished tradition where she could be found enjoying live music with friends.
Yvonne is survived by her daughters: Sabrina (Fred) Walters of York; Timna (Jim) Fisher of Lititz; and Kanah (Mark) Kreider of New Providence. She took immense pride in her seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent with them.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son David Graver and his wife Fran.
Yvonne was a shining example of love and kindness-a guiding force who taught those around her to have faith and help others whenever there was a need. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Yvonne was a true angel! She was always giving of herself to help others. She was an amazing caregiver for our children, Katy and Alex! She was kind, creative, and faithful. She would fix Katy’s long hair in curls (learned by having 3 daughters) and she would take Alex to watch construction sites around the area while he wore his yellow hard hat. Yvonne (we called her Nan) was joyous and gracious, funny and wise. She was loved as a grandmother and friend, and will be dearly missed.
