Carol Ann (Murphy) Mahosky Landis, 71, of Lancaster, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, New York she was the daughter of Carol Ann (Britt) Murphy Edwards and the late Andrè Eugene Murphy. Carol was the loving companion of Paul C. Hurdle.
She started her career as a teacher and proudly taught at Northern and Southern Tioga Districts (Tioga County) and Octorara Area School District (Lancaster County). The beach was a place where she shared many memories with her family, especially when her children were young, and they will cherish those memories always. She was a social butterfly who enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
Surviving in addition to her mom, Carol and “Sweetie”, Paul, are three children, Charity Mahosky (Brad Mowrer), Jeremiah Mahosky (Diana), and Joshua Mahosky (Jamie Kerrick), three grandchildren, Alaina Miller, Jarrett Mahosky and Jason Mahosky as well as two great grandchildren, Marilyn and Cordell. So sorry for your loss. A memory I have of Carl Ann was sometimes when the Landis’s got together, she had ideas to make a crafts, she was a good teacher. One of those crafts was a angel Christmas tree topper, which I still use every Christmas.

So sorry to learn of Carol’s passing. Though I haven’t seen her in decades I have fond memories of her mother and brothers when they were living in Liberty. My condolences to the family.
