Salvatore Russo, 73
February 12, 2025
Salvatore Russo, affectionately known as “Toto,” passed away on February 12, 2025, after a brave battle with cancer. Born in Sicily, Italy, to the late Vincenzo and Giuseppina Russo, Toto served in the Italian Navy for a time.
He was the devoted husband of Rosalia Russo for 48 years and was a hardworking and passionate man. Toto owned several restaurants over a 20-year span, sharing his love for food with many. However, nothing brought him greater joy than the meals his wife made for him.
Toto was known for his kind and calm nature, never letting anything trouble him. He loved his garden, growing, washing, and enjoying the food he grew himself. His love for the ocean, especially crystal-clear waters, was unmatched. Above all, Toto loved family. He treasured gatherings filled with laughter and joy, and he adored spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his beloved wife Rosalia and their children: Daniela Anthony wife of Andrew, Vincent Russo husband of Dana, and Alessandro Russo husband of Christine. He was a proud grandfather to his grandchildren: Jude, Isaiah, Michael, Sophia, Ava, Lillian, and Salvatore “Little Toto.” He is also survived by extended family in Italy.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Toto’s life will be held on Monday, February 17, at 3:00 PM at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the viewing from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. His legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Toto’s warmth, generosity, and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

I will never forget him. Such a kind, endearing person always with a smile on his face, always helping where he can. The man was a superhero in disguise. I spent some of my best years working for Sal and with his nephew little Sal. They were both such amazing people and I think about them all the time. My dearest condolences to Rosalia, and his dearest family. I’m sure he will watch over you always. All my love and prayers.

My husband, Dennis and I spent many happy nights at La Cantina. Sal was always so gracious. He always made it a point to talk with us and to make sure Dennis had an espresso. We were sad when the restaurant closed, but we knew he was ready to enjoy retirement . Sending prayers for his beautiful wife, Rosalia, and his family. May Sal Rest in Peace!
