Anthony A. Pirozzi, 91
January 03, 2025
Anthony A. Pirozzi, of Strasburg, passed away at his home with his family by his side on January 3, 2025, at the age of 91. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Anthony was the son of the late Anthony and Elveria (Marbella) Pirozzi and the devoted husband of Joyce (Sorrentino) Pirozzi with whom he shared 57 years of marriage.
Anthony dedicated many years of his life to serving with the Transit Authority for the city of New York, contributing to the community he deeply cared for. He proudly enlisted in the United States Army on February 18, 1954, serving until his honorable discharge on April 19, 1960. His service reflected his commitment to serving others and his dedication to his country.
Anthony had passions that enriched his life and those around him. He enjoyed watching football, especially the Dallas Cowboys, cherished old movies, gardening, and loved the thrill of horse racing. Being Italian and having learned from his mother, cooking was a passion that he loved to share with everyone. Above all, his family was his greatest joy.
In addition to his wife, Joyce, Anthony is survived by his loving daughter, Darlene Epstein (wife of Darren) of Strasburg and six grandchildren: Melissa Epstein (wife of Kristofer Horbal), Grace Epstein, Chase Pirozzi, Kristofer Pirozzi, Tyler Klingbeil and Julia Klingbeil.
In addition to his parents, Anthony is preceded in death by his son Joseph Pirozzi and daughter Toni Ann Klingbeil.
