My condolences to the Blefko family on the passing of your father. I am one of the 4 daughters of Dick Geiger who worked at Feldser’s for many years with Don. I also babysat many times for the 4 Blefko children. A funny story for you to remember your dad:  I remember one time Don driving me home around midnight from babysitting, and it had snowed. He couldn’t find an ice scraper for the windshield, so he went into the kitchen and brought a metal spatula out to scrape the windshield. And scrape he did. He scratched that windshield so badly. He said he was going to be in big trouble when your Mom saw it. My prayers are with your family at this time.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences in the passing of your father.  Don was charming and had a mischievous glint in his eye ALWAYS.  I never knew how to take him and I think that tickled him.  He was very proud of his family and always liked to show off their pictures he had on display.  He enjoyed watching the birds outside his window, talking about his love of golf and educated me on the game.  He got very offended when I pronounce Notre Dame incorrectly.  He loved playing cards and looked forward to his family visits.  I will always wonder about a statement he made to me when I was enduring his playful antics…I’d put my hand on my hips and he’d say “Awwwe, you know what they say about girls who put their hands on their hips”… But would never tell me.  He said its something only men know.  Thank you for allowing me to serve your father and your family.  He kept me on my toes.  I will miss him and you, Heather. So sorry for your loss, Heather.  I know he is at peace.  Your golf outings were always good days with him, Steve and your brother.
