Ronald J. Fischer, 84

August 31, 2024

Ronald J. Fischer, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2024, at the age of 84. Born and raised in Columbia, he was the son of the late Alphonse E. and Catherine (Kauffman) Fischer. He was the husband of the late Darlene “Sunshine” K. Fischer.

Ronald was a true sports enthusiast and was evident in his love for golf, basketball, and baseball. Whether it was a sunny day on the golf course, a thrilling basketball game, or watching America’s pastime, Ron found immense joy in sports. His competitive spirit extended beyond the playing fields, as he was also an avid chess player, enjoying the strategic depth of the game.

Ronald had a deep appreciation for good food, a love that he shared with his family and friends. He could often be found savoring a hearty meal, surrounded by those he cared about most. But above all, Ron’s greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
