Pamela Tell Elliott, 74
August 9, 1949 - April 19, 2024
Pamela Tell Elliott, age 74 of Lancaster, PA passed away peacefully with family at her side on Friday, April 19, 2024.
Pam was born in Clifton, NJ in 1949, daughter of the late William and Eleanor (Elmes) Tell. She was a 1967 graduate of Holy Cross High School in Dover, DE. She received a bachelors degree in Education from the University of Delaware in Newark in 1971, where she met and married her late husband, Lloyd Elliott, to whom she was married for 53 years.
Pam started her career in the early 1970s as a teacher in New England, where she and her husband enjoyed several quick appointments throughout the Northeast before settling in Lancaster in 1978. She was an enterprising business woman who loved her family, co-owning and operating several businesses, including a bakery with her sister Sharon, and Kinder Bin Kids, a children’s clothing store, through the 1980s and 90s, with her sister Katheen. Pam later served as a manager at Wellspring, an office manager for a Lancaster law firm, and ultimately retired from an account management role with her brother Patrick, at Tell Manufacturing.
In her free time, Pam loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially when she had the chance to bring her competitive spirit to the card table! Pam will be remembered for her special laugh – which she shared generously with all who knew her.
Pam is survived by her daughter, Sharon Lynn Elliott; two sons, Christopher L.W. Elliott and his wife Sarah, and Jonathan W. Elliott and his wife Erin; a granddaughter, Sedona R. Elliott; two sisters, Kathleen (Russ Urban) and Sharon Tell (Jeffrey Gundel); two brothers, Patrick Tell and William Tell; her beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family – with whom she always loved to share her favorite cranberry meatballs, “green stuff” (watergate salad), chicken and “nookles” (Hungarian nokedli), eggplant parmesan, and her famous cheesecake.
The family thanks the staff at Legend of Lititz and Grane Hospice Care for their supportive and loving care of Pam, as well as Leigh Costarella for her years of loving care.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. The family will welcome guests for visitation at Snyder from 10 AM to 11 AM. Pam loved colorful clothes, so guests are invited to wear something bright and vibrant to celebrate her life well lived. Memorial contributions may be made to Grane Hospice, 1010 Plymouth Road, Suite D, York, PA 17402.
