Mary K. Murr, 98

Mary K. Murr, 98, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2024. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Brunislau Grabowski and Mary (Zamlanski) Kuster. She was married for 60 years to Paul E. Murr prior to his passing in 2010.

Mary was a graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School. She worked for 10 years in the lab at Armstrong before deciding to be a full-time mother and homemaker. At age 40, Mary went to beauty school and became a self-employed beautician, working out of a salon in her home. She also enjoyed cooking, especially the Thanksgiving meal, traveling, playing bingo, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Lancaster.

Mary is survived by her two children: Jodine Lynch (John) of Lebanon, and John Murr (Stephanie Hoar) of Lancaster; three grandchildren: Rachel Rohrbach, Kevin Murr, and Alexander Murr (Kelly); and great-grandson Bode Murr. She was predeceased by her 8 siblings: Pauline Nowicki, William Kuster, Nelda Saunders, Jennie Clever, Josephine Pulley, John Kuster, Regina Young, and Kathryn Harmes.

Family and friends are invited to gather from 10-11 AM on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 N. George St, Millersville, PA 17551. A service will begin at 11 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s name can be made to Amedisys Hospice, 1410 Oregon Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601.
