Condolences to the Family

January 20, 2024

Marcia and family, my deepest heartfelt sympathy and condolence at this difficult time – may your beautiful memories warm your hearts in the days ahead.  When bringing my sons, Christopher and Stefan, for piano lessons, I remember fondly my conversations with him on his garden, especially the asparagus!

Marcia and family,
Plese accept my heartfeld sympathy.  I didn’t know Charlie well, having only spoken with him at several of our classs reunions.  He struck me as a quiet, intelligent, and contemplative man.  I wish I could have known him better.

I was disappointed that today’s weather prevented me from getting to Charlie’s Memorial Service.
I was very thankful for Charlie’s help during the startup of the Teesside Plant in England.  Charlie arrived in England for a 2-week stay but ended staying for 6 weeks because there was a need for his expertise.  He consistently performed his assigned tasks with no supervision as a valuable engineer.  May he Rest in Peace!

I am very sorry to hear of Charlie’s passing. I worked with him at Armstrong for 32 years until he retired. We both ended up with the Building Products Divison. He was a great mentor to me as I converted from Instrumentation to the drives and power work. He always had the answers and direction for any problem I faced and was always ready to help. Thank You

I’m so sorry to hear of Charlie’s passing.  Such a kind and loving man.  Anytime I visited him he made me feel so welcomed.  He went out of his way to get me Lebanon Bologna which I love.
We will all miss him very much.

Charlie was my first mentor in the EE group in Armstrong’s then Central Engineering.  He told this clueless kid what a motor starter is!, and was always calm, patient and kind and with a quiet sense of humor.  Although I hadn’t seen him for many years, I remember him and our days on projects fondly.  My condolences to Mrs. Bernheisel and family.

My condolences on Charlie’s passing.  I was Charlie’s secretary at Armstrong for a number of years in the late 60s to early 70s… every time I think of him, a smile comes to my face… he was so nice and provided much fun to my workday.  I will remember him with fondness.
