Timothy Andrew Boylan, 63
August 23, 1960 - August 29, 2023
Timothy (Tim) Boylan of Millersville, PA passed away August 29, 2023. Born in Brooklyn, NY August 23, 1960 he moved to Central Florida as a teenager until joining the United States Air Force in 1981. Upon discharge from the service, Tim moved to Lancaster County where he spent the remainder of his life.
Known by many as Uncle Wheezie, Tim was a passionate fan of Raiders football, all things Beatles, writing, playing guitar and listening to all kinds of music. He was empathetic and encouraging toward those less fortunate than himself and tried to find the bright side in situations. Tim also took great pride in supporting the Emily Whitehead Foundation for childhood cancer treatments.
Tim is preceded in death by his parents Mary Faith (Smith) Boylan Gahran and Patrick Joseph Boylan, and brothers Daniel and Michael. Surviving siblings Kathleen Selover (Robert) of Ormond Beach, FL and Elizabeth Rose (Elliot) of Sarasota, FL are comforted that Tim is now back with his beloved brothers whom he missed so much since their passing. They are also grateful to Tim’s supportive friends & family and dedicated medical caregivers.
No services are planned. To honor Tim, the family asks that you perform a random act of kindness for someone today.

I am devastated to learn of Tim’s death, and not a little ashamed that I had lost touch with him during The Pandemic.
Tim was many things to many people: most of them zany and hilarious; some of them uncomfortably honest and caring; none of them selfish or mean-spirited.
I wrote about him in a personal essay that was published back in 2017. He did not want his name disclosed at the time, so he was referred to as “The Ace.” Of course, there was the photo that I used for the piece, taken from the time he impersonated a bowling trophy and damn near died because he was wrapped head-to-toe in aluminum foil (try something like that in central Florida . . .see how far you get) and stayed motionless for hours, totally silent and still, an Irish potato baking without an oven.
Sorry, Tim–I’m gonna rat you out, now.
On 08/06/1981, Tim was one of five members of the “Ida Lupino
Liberation Organization” who took over central Florida’s largest FM station, WDIZ Rock 100 Orlando. We did it without firing a shot or hurting anyone. We didn’t get arrested. And the getaway car was Tim’s POS Plymouth Fire Arrow. Unforgettable. As was Tim, and ever will he be.
I don’t know exactly how he died, but I can guess. His heart was always made of butter, which he gave freely to the lonely and dispirited and downtrodden every chance he got. By the time he reached his 60’s, I’ll bet he didn’t have any heart left to keep for himself.
Goodbye, Boylan. You’d be proud to know we are still laughing . . . through the tears.

Pardon these late condolences; I learned of Tim’s passing only today.Tim was a loyal and true friend who would go to any length–and I mean ANY–to make us smile or laugh. Those who knew him during our Florida days together know this well about him. May his soul rest in peace!

09 27 2023.I just now found out about Tim’s passing.I had not seen Tim for a few months, nor had I heard from him.Tim would forward my messages from Sir Cousin Chip. I haden’t gotten one of those for a while, so I did a name serch on Google.I have missed Mick for decades, and their brother Dan since his passing in 2019.I had a yearly tradition of visiting them all that goes back to the late 80’s when Mick would dress as Santa Clause and wave to passerby on Columbia Avenue on Thanksgiving day.We would listen to Alice’s Resturante by Arlo Guthrie and have grilled cheese and beer.Their ‘Stinko-face’ parties were legendary and man could the boys ever put together a bus trip to a concert.Tim, I am gonna miss your unique outlook on life, your guitar playing, and your direct honesty. You may be able to get anything you want at Alice’s Resturante, but I will never be able to get another grilled cheese that is gonna taste as good.Thanksgiving will never be the same.
