Condolences to the Family

October 20, 2022

To Melinda and Family,
So very sorry to learn of your mother’s passing. She was a bridesmaid in my parents wedding many years ago. They attended Wilmington Friends School together. Every year when my mother traveled down from Maine at Christmas time we would make the trip to Newark, DE to visit family graves, place wreaths and would always meet your mother for lunch in Hockessin or Wilmington. Our mothers were good friends, steadfast to the end. I never met you, but felt I knew you through the pride your mother always had when speaking about you which was often.
There is nothing like losing your mother and nothing to prepare you for doing so. Focus on the happy moments shared and allow them to sustain you through this sad time. Reach for her often, she is always with you.
My prayers and condolences go out to you and your family. I will remember your mother with fondness.
