To Mrs. Brady’s Family, Mrs. Brady was my township supervisor for years. She did a find job as she was proactive environmentally and with zoning issues. Way ahead of her time. Her stewardship helped maintain the rural character of the township by promoting ag preservation and restrained growth. She included both major parties on her boards and committees, rare in local politics. My deepest sympathy to you all.

Dear Pat, Mike & Joe:
Once upon a time when you were kids, you had a babysitter that you nicknamed “Curly.”
That would be me. I am so sorry to hear of your Mother passing away. She was a unique and admirable lady with integrity beyond question. I should think that she was a most excellent teacher. The pilots license was a surprise, but no doubt she was an excellent one!!!
I am very sorry that I missed your Dad’s funeral. At the time, I was out of the area and out of retail pharmacy and had lost touch with him. He was very important in my early years as a pharmacist. He was a mentor, supporter, preceptor and an all around good guy & especially a friend. He could always put a difficult situation in perspective.
My deepest condolences to you all on the loss of both of them!!
With warm regards,
John Gillespie
I hope you all are doing well, scattered around the country.

Virginia was a wonderful caring person and an outstanding Pequea Township Supervisor. She led the Township supervisors overseeing and enlarging Silvermine Park, now a beautiful area to visit. It would have been lost without her. She fostered the first and only Environmental Advisory Council in Lancaster County. She pushed for well water safety. Refuse recycling was another strong point in her work. Virginia updated the outdated Zoning Ordinance for the safety and beauty of the community. She backed farmland protection and preservation with responsible growth only. She was also our area representative to the County.
One could go on and on with her accomplishments such as radon reduction and placement of landscaping around proposed developments. Virginia truly gave of herself for the betterment of the community. All should wish a person such as her in their community. She knew how to work with all.
You will be greatly missed. We loved you Virginia! Condolences to the family as well, and all who pray for a community that cares for all.

Hi Pat,
It has been many years since high school and, afterwards the trip to California when you and Jeff acted as the most gracious hosts, in your lovely home…fond memories. I also vividly recall your mother’s passionate work in her role as Steward/Supervisor, in my dealings with her…always acting in what she believed to be in the best interests of the Township, indeed, all of Lancaster County.
I extend my heartfelt condolences to you and the family…and all the best to you and Jeff.
