Ray was a really good guy. I enjoyed chatting with him at the Jukebox while he was DJing. He really knew the oldies, so it was a real [rare] accomplishment for me to impress with an oldie he never heard before.
I remember how fascinated I was at how good he was at controlling the dance floor (meaning getting the crowd dancing at the drop of a hat); he made it look easy. I made such a comment to him, and he casually told me that it wasn’t always that way for him. He said when he first started, he was really bad at it, but he got better over time. Most people might not have been so honest or humble to admit that.
God bless you, Ray!

I Was shocked When I read about Raymond’s death. Raymond was my 1st husband my 1st love and the father of my 3 children children Anthony was adopted by Raymond at the age of 15 months lissa And Dawn Marie. Raymond was active in some sports Back in the seventies Swimming Bowling and fishing. He enjoyed bowling so much he joined a semi pro league. His Personality was bigger than life. He had a good Outlook on Life. His laughterWas catching And was robust. Raymond loved the music Especially the sixties Seventies eighties and some nineties No one could touch him when it came to Being A DJ. I am just heartsick Over Raymond’s Death. Ray was a manager for the McCaskey swim team when I coached there in the 1970’s. He was a hard worker and a really good guy. My world is diminished at his passing. RIP, Ray

Saddened to hear of Ray’s passing. I met Ray when we both worked at Watt and Shands. He was larger than life both in personality and humor and I always enjoyed the times we would hang out. To live in one’s heart is never to die. RIP big guy.
