My name is Joe Carr. Received this notice of Stan’s passing just now.
I worked with Stan for years at Curwood. He was one of the most interesting people I have ever encountered. I eventually successed Stan as the Eastern Regional Mgr. at Curwood, and never quite filled his considerable shoes. Stan took me to a Penn State Football game and he’d laugh everytime I would cuss when that damn pather growl would be played. My favorite Stout line was emblamatic of his view of life. These are “good decent people” he would often say. That can surely be applied to Stan.
My condolenses on a great friend and person’s passing.

Dear Mike, Chris, and Kelly, It was so sad to hear that your Dad passed away. Needless to say we have so many memories and such fun we all had together. He was full of lfe and created many fun times, he was that kind of guy. I think there was no one like him and never will be! Most of the times were on a sailboat and how close can you be but on a sailboat! What adventures we all had, Sue, Roy, Stan, Carol, Gary and me! What a crew! Also the ABC’s shows, wow, we had the chance to show how crazy we were and let the whole town know it too!
It is sad when it is time to say goodbye I never realized how hard it is to grow old. Someone told me that growing old is not for sissy and they were right. I also will think of you kids, now adults, and how wonderful you all were. I think of you and hope you all will have a happy life and above all a healthy one.
With Love and Kind Memories, Charlotte Hanna
