For Anna, So Hyang, Dan,
What an amazing life your grandfather and father had…..and what a rich heritage he passed along to his family. Any one of his interests and talents would have meant a full, accomplished life…..but there are so many of them to mourn and miss, and to celebrate. I send my condolences and best wishes to your family, especially sweet Anna whom I’ve enjoyed knowing through our twins….and I hope for another lunch, So Hyang! Anne Gardner

We will always remember Sebastian for his love of his family, a good story weather listening or telling it, traveling and his wisdom and knowledge. We will not forget the good times with all our parents, when they were all healthy, children were small , we were preparing meals together, laughing and enjoying the company and the back yards. Even if life intervened, memories persist. Our heartfelt sympathy and love to the entire family. He could not have had a better wife, loving and caring son and daughter in law and been more proud of his grandchildren. May you Rest In Peace Sebastian! Your father resided on the same floor as my mother, Jenny Koch at Oak Leaf Manor. She passed on 3/10/20. I often spoke to him, what a shame their great lives cannot be shared at that point. He was delightful. My family lived in Romania for two years, I was just a child. I remembered some phrases and spoke them to wish your father a good meal, good morning, evening, day and asked how he was, I do not know if it made a difference, but I enjoyed interacting with him. These are difficult times to have a loss like this, it always is, but now we cannot have the closeness of friends and family when we need it most and the paperwork of death is just frozen in time. God bless you and your family, may you find peace.

My life has been enriched because I had the good fortune of knowing Sebastian in his later years. It was a great adventure searching for Romanian music that I could share with him. I extend my sincere sympathy to his family as they grieve the loss of someone who was a “prince among men.”

Bunicu was a major character in my life, especially as a child, and I loved him very much. He has always been so lively, so clever and personable, so funny, and so full of love, I know he will always be smiling down on us.
