James C. Neff, 83

James C. Neff, 83, formerly of Quarryville, died in Acworth, Georgia on Sunday, April 8, 2017 He was the husband of Violet M. (Rineer) Neff for over 50 years.

Jim attended the former East Lampeter High School.

He attended Bascomb United Methodist Church, Woodstock, GA.

He volunteered with Eden Fire Company in the 1960’s.

In the 1960’s, he operated a Mr. Softee Ice Cream Truck. Jim later retired from C&D Power Technologies.

He enjoyed spending time with his family. Jim loved telling jokes and making people laugh.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Franklin and Margaret (Petrie) Neff. Jim is also survived by a son, Jamie R. married to Erin W. Neff of Ronks; three daughters, Lee Ann Stichler of Sebring, FL, Diane married to Michael Gassert of Myerstown and Julie Watkins of Acworth, GA; a daughter-in-law, Susan Neff of Killeen TX; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard married to Martha Neff of Leesburg, GA; and four sisters, Betty Klinedenst of Marietta, Joann married to Donald Leayman of Lancaster, Joyce married to Sherwood Miller of Leola and Judy married to George Hansalic of Lititz. �Jim was preceded in death by a son, David Neff.

There will be a viewing on Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 10 until 11 AM in the Bachman Funeral Home, 7 South Decatur street, Strasburg, PA. The funeral is 11 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Brad Steele officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Monument Bible Cemetery.
