I am sorry I was not able to attend my very good friends funeral or visit her at the nursing home. I had a stroke in July and have been in a nursing home since. Good memories from SHA. Always admired Peggy dedication to playing the organ for church. She is a great lady. May the angels surround her with sweet music. May she be with Jesus.

I am so sorry to hear that this world has lost a fantastic organist and respected lady. I had been taking organ lessions since elementary school, and I was asked to assist Peg with some church services so I played the organ at the 12:00pm Sunday Mass at St John Neumann Church during my High School years (late 70’s). She was a mentor and friend during that time. She helped me in so many ways and always had a smile. She will be greatly missed. Memories of those years are still fresh in my mind and I am sure they will never fade. Rest in Peace, Peg.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I met Peggy when I joined the adult choir at Historic St. Mary’s. She was a lovely independent lady who always carried her music bag up those choir loft stairs. I can still hear her – she would say when someone offered to carry it for her, “no, I need to balance a step at a time with the bag”. I also remember her big smile when she replaced the sedan with a SVU and was able to step right out of the car! She truly will be remembered with many fond memories and will be missed here on earth. Peggy is now with the angels playing for our heavenly Lord!

Dear Family, especially Harnish cousins,
My sincere sympathy for the loss of your sweet Aunt Peg. You shared her generously with Denny and me. We both have special memories of her at family gatherings. I especially remember ice skating at Longs park….ohhhh so many years ago! Happy memory! I believe Dad took movie camera pictures of that outing and we watched it again and again!

Dear Loved Ones & Family of Marguerite (Peg):
I am so very sorry for your loss. You most likely do not know me, but I am the daughter of Peg’s roommate at St. Anne’s, Caroline Shoemaker. My mother actually was a yr or 2 ahead of Peg at Sacred Heart Academy and Peg played the organ at my brother’s wedding 34 yrs ago. Peg was also a visiting nurse at Armstrong World Indus when I, myself, worked there yrs ago. Peg was a dear, sweet woman and will be greatly missed, but I know she is in Heaven and w/o pain and suffering now. She is happy in the arms of our Lord & Savior. My sincere sympathies to all of you and you are in my thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Carolyn Brown (Caroline Shoemaker’s daughter)

Peg,
Thank you for all the joy you brought to St. Mary’s Choir for many years. Your kindness and ready smile will long be remembered and continue to be missed. I still miss sitting next to you on the organ bench during the homily. I know you’re up in heavan now watching down over us and playing organ, accompanying my aunt while she sings the Lord’s praises. I’m glad you have each other for company. You were a wonderful example to all of us, sharing your peaceful presence and love of sacred music.
Eternal rest grant unto to her O Lord and may perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.
