J. Paulette “Paula” Bleacher, 74, of Lititz, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017 at The Gardens at Stevens.
Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Jacob W. and Elnora M. Miller Smith.
Paula had worked as an administrative assistant for many years at Armstrong World Industries.
She enjoyed skiing, fly fishing, camping and going to the horse races.
She was the last of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Jane Hess, and her boyfriend, Herbert D. Nease.
Relatives and friend are respectfully invited to attend the graveside service at Lititz Moravian Cemetery on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 3PM.

Condolences to the Family

My sincere sympathy to the distant relatives and close friends of my former friend and classmate. Polly and I were both in the commercial course at Lampeter Strasburg High School, class of 1960. I hadn’t seen her in many years, but after reading of her death, many happy memories emerged. It is sad for me to learn of someone I spent so many hours together with in school, then lost touch with after graduation. I’m even sadder to now know she has passed. ~Marilyn (Barr) Sherick

Polly and I were friends many years ago as teenagers. She then lived up the street with her husband Dick early in our married life. We used to get together to play Pinochole. Our son, Larry, who had many physical problems said at an early age, “Let’s go up to see Polly and Dick for a minute.” We, of course, lost touch and I hadn’t seen Polly for many, many years. May God bless her family and friends.
