Evelyn, John, Karen and Jim:
I was very saddened to read of the passing of John.  Although it has been many years since I last saw or spoke to him, I have never forgotten what a kind and decent man John was.   I still remember how good both he and you, Evelyn, were to me.  I offer all of you my deepest heartfelt sympathy in your time of mourning.

Dear Honey,
Margaret and I were saddened to read of John’s death in today’s paper. We both have fond memories of John. He was a good man and a patriotic person. We remember well the trip we took to Germany years ago with you two. Wayne always enjoyed spending the time with John at Columbia’s VFW 11-11-11 affair. It was our pleasure to have known you and John-even if for just a little while.
Sincerely,
Wayne and Margaret Von Stetten
