Bettie Lou Succa, 83
July 09, 2016
Bettie Lou Succa (Geibe), 83, of Lititz, entered into rest on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy. She was the wife of the late Joseph G. Succa, who died in 1980, and the late Richard S. Weik who died in 1999, and the loving companion of Anthony Catalano who survives her.
Born August 22, 1932 in Warwick Township, she was the youngest daughter of the late Lewis R. Geibe and Etta May (Hilbert). Bettie Lou spent her years traveling and loving life—making friends wherever she was and keeping them lifelong. Throughout her years of living and working in New York, Maryland, Florida and traveling to far-away destinations, Lititz remained her home and family her touchstone. She was never short on time for a good talk and a hot cup of coffee—sharing her business “know how” and trendy fashion sense. Her infectious laugh and stern look were her trademarks and will be missed by all who had the privilege to get to know her magnetic personality.
Surviving Bettie Lou are her children and stepsons; Brenda E. Herr, companion of Ronald Hamilton of Lititz; Karen L., wife of William Murdock of Manheim Twp.; Richard L. Weik, husband of Leslie of Brownstown; Wendy S., wife of James McCardell of Leola; John E. Succa, husband of Kay of Camp Hill; Roy Succa, husband of Barb of Jacksonville, FL; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and stepbrother; Lewis B. Geibe, husband of Susan of Lititz. She is also survived by amazing nieces, nephews and cousins—all of whom she lovingly thought of, always.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Bettie Lou’s Funeral Service to be held at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543 on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 11AM. Friends may call at the funeral home between 10-11AM. Bettie Lou will be laid to rest privately at Longenecker Cemetery, Lititz, PA. Memorial remembrances may be made in Bettie Lou’s memory to Hospice & Community Care, www.hospiceandcommunitycare.org

To us, Bettie Lou was like a mother to us. She watched over our kids at the ocean when they were little and would have talks with them to get them back in line. She was a very strong willed woman, and was never afraid to speak her mind if she had to. She did have an infectious laugh and we enjoyed many laughs with her. She was always upbeat no matter what was going on in her life. She always was a gracious host to many condo parties. When we had condo work parties she would make the best “Ziti” for us. I always looked forward to calling and chatting with her and catching up on her Birthday and Christmas, as well as other times throughout the years. We would have loved to be able to attend the services, but we could not change our reservations on our travel. Bettie Lou is very much loved and will truly be missed. RIP my friend. God Speed.
Love, Doug and Perri Collins

Karen, Brenda, Wendy and family,
I have known and adored your Mom since I was 14. Met her through my best friend Pat “Geibe ” Rohrer when we were kids. She was the funniest most loving and generous person I’ve had the fortune to meet. Pat and I visited her just 3weeks ago. and I’m so glad we had that visit with her.
Sincerely,
Carol “Bennethum”Orr
