Christopher William Cornwell, 42

Christopher William Cornwell, 42, of Lancaster, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, April 9, 2016.
Chris was born in Lancaster, PA and was the son of Joyce Henkel Cornwell and the late William H. Cornwell, Jr.
He graduated from State College Area High School, attended Penn State University, and had been employed by Giant Foods.
A member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church, he had a special love for Jesus and the Blessed Mother that was evident in all of his relationships with family and friends.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister, Amanda Cornwell, wife of Nitin Jagdish, a nephew, and two aunts, Joan Loretta Henkel, Religious Sister of Mercy of Philadelphia, and Carol Vaseleski, wife of Ronald Vaseleski of Hendersonville, NC.
Chris had many interests and enjoyed many activities. He was an avid bowler on a local men’s bowling league. He also enjoyed swimming, boating, water skiing, tennis, shooting pool, music, and exercising at the gym. He loved spending time at the beach during all seasons. He was a lifelong learner, challenging himself by teaching himself new languages, especially Mandarin.
Chris had a wonderful sense of humor. Being such a very compassionate man, he also had a special respect for life, especially the unborn, and a concern about social justice. Chris loved his family and his grandparents who had gone home before him with a very intense love. To know Chris was to love him and his family and friends will hold his memory close to their hearts forever.
