Therese E. “Terri” Bassler, born on February 21, 1957, entered into rest on February 15, 2016. Our beloved mother, wife, sister, grandmother and friend was preceded in death by her daughter Nicole and granddaughter Alexis. She is survived by husband of 39 years James, sons Bobby, Kenny, Colin and daughter Jamie, four grandsons Timothy, Johnny, Joey and Joshua as well as brother by choice “Uncle Jack”.
A candlelight service celebrating Therese’s life will be held on Sunday, February 21 at 6:00 PM at Stumptown Mennonite Church, 2813 Stumptown Rd., Bird-in-Hand, PA 17505. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to help defray the cost of services may be made through the church at the address above.

I´m so sorry for the family´s loss. In heartfelt sympathy I´m praying for you all for comfort and strengh. May you find courage to face tomorrow in love that surrounds you. Her wings were ready but our hearts were not. I will carry her with me until I see her again.

I’m so sorry for this family’s loss of such a great lady. She cared so much for her family, including her grandson in my elementary classroom. She was always on top of his progress in school, helping with his learning at home, and present at school activities. Smoketown staff sends its love to the Bassler family.
