Timothy J. Gauthier, 47
October 04, 2015
Timothy J. Gauthier, 47, died at his Ephrata home on Sunday, October 4, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Cori J. (Kuhns) Gauthier. Tim was born in Garden City, MI, to Dick and Benita (Cunningham) Gauthier.
A 1986 graduate of Conestoga Valley High School, Tim had been a fabricator for IDenticard Systems in Lititz for 23 years, where he ran the Toys for Tots program in memory of his best friend Crash Kutz. He last worked as a landscaper for Twin Oaks Landscaping. He kept a great looking front lawn at home done “Tim’s way” that no one dared to walk on.
Affectionately called “G-Man”, Tim was a very competitive, outspoken and avid sports fan and guru. He had a tremendous memory and could rattle off sports history. Tim played and coached men’s league softball. An avid golfer, Tim enjoyed playing at Hawk Valley, Fox Chase, and in South Carolina. Born on his father’s birthday, they enjoyed celebrating their birthdays by playing a round of golf together.
In addition to his loving wife Cori and parents Dick and Benita of Ephrata, Tim is survived by his three children, Alex J. Frederick of Philadelphia, and Aaron J. Kuhns and Amanda J. Gauthier, both at home; two brothers, Steve Gauthier, husband of Trudy of Lancaster, and Marc Gauthier of Minneapolis, MN; and many great friends and his dog Chase. Tim was preceded in death by his loving grandparents.
The funeral service will be held 7 pm Thursday, October 8, 2015, at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543, with Pastor Kelly Sensenig officiating. Please wear your favorite sports attire. A viewing will take place from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home on Thursday. Interment will be private. Kindly omit flowers and consider a memorial contribution to the Kidney Foundation of Central PA, 1500 Paxton St., Suite 101, Harrisburg, PA 17104-2633 or to Hospice & Community Care, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
