Thomas J. Harnish, 77

Thomas J. Harnish, 77, of Lancaster passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at LGH. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Thomas J, Sr. and Mary E. (Peters) Harnish. He was married to Kathleen (Brockie) Harnish for over 54 years.
He was a Manheim Township High School graduate.
Tom worked for RR Donnelly Printing Co. for many years as a contactor operator. He was a founding member of the Vagabond Car club and enjoyed hunting and going to his hunting camp Council Run in Center County. He was a family man, and enjoyed attending many of his children and grandchildren’s school activities. He also was an avid coin collector.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Tamara J., wife of David Ort, of Lancaster, Trinette J., wife of Steven Bloodgood, of Williamsburg, VA, Tracie J. Carter, of Lititz and Tina J., wife of Samuel Campbell, of Lancaster. Also surviving are 2 sisters, Mary Fritz and Anna Smith. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters.
Services and Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Tom’s memory may be made to Hospice & Community Care, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604 or a local charity of one’s choice.
