Kathryn V. Stumpf, 92

Kathryn V. Stumpf , 92, of Pequea, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 8, 2014, at Hospice & Community Care of Lancaster in Mount Joy. She was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Marie (Rotello) Carello and was the wife of the late Philip J. Stumpf.
Kathryn was a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. She loved shopping and watching day time TV shows, especially Law & Order and “The Judges”. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was first generation Italian American, and was a member of the Italian American Club. She was a life long waitress. She worked at numerous restaurants over the years, including Woolworth’s, Kal’s Confectionary, Zimmerman’s, Mary’s Cozy Corner, and Leroy’s in the Lancaster County Courthouse.
Kathryn is survived by three children: Kenneth S. Campbell, husband of Ann Marie, of Lancaster, Barry G. Stumpf of Lancaster, and Phyllis E. Benard, wife of Bruce, of Pequea; 6 grandchildren: Kimmie, Kenny, Roxanne, Travis, Benjamin, and Jenna; great grandchildren: Katrina, Harley, Cody, Parker, McKenlee Grace, Morgan, Olivia, Ava, Megan, and Madison, and two great great grandchildren Siahni and Shanti. She is also survived by a sister, Gloria “Junie” Kreiner of Lancaster, and sister-in-law Nancy Carello of Lancaster. In addition to her husband, Philip, Kathryn was preceded in death by a sister, Rosie and 6 brothers: Ralph, Louie, John, Francis, Joe, and Sam.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 558 W Walnut St, Lancaster, PA 17603 at 11AM, with the Rev. Michael Messner as Celebrant. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions in Kathryn’s name may be made to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Dr, Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.
