Lewis E.”Terry” Brubaker, 83

Lewis “Terry” E. Brubaker, 83 of Lancaster, PA passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2014. Born in Johnstown, PA, son of the late J. Edward and Hallie Brubaker. He was the husband of Suzanne (Martz) Brubaker with whom he celebrated 32 years of marriage.

Lewis was retired from the Lancaster County Prison where he worked as maintenance supervisor. He proudly served his country in the Korean War. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, trains, attending events at the Buck and his beloved poodle Mutley.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Suzanne is a son, Ron Brubaker married to Starr; two daughters: Cathy Rolling married to Dave and Lois Stoltzfus married to Milt; step-son David Newswanger; daughter-in-law Lisa Newswanger; six grandchildren,: John Zimmerman, Lisa Sowers, Dustin Keen, Stevie Brubaker, Coby Brubaker and Shae Wright; four great-grandchildren: Kylie and Ethan Zimmerman, and Sydney and Laken Sowers; and one sister Dorothy Youngdahl. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Rita Donahue and great granddaughter Sarah Zimmerman.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at the New Beginnings Church, 409 North State Street, Ephrata, PA 17522. Family and friends will be received from 10-11 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Lewis’s name to the Lancaster County SPCA, 599 Chesapeake St, Lancaster, PA 17602.

Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
