We are so sorry for your loss.
We used to live 2 doors down from Jeff and loved him dearly.  He always had a helping hand for us and our neighbor, Mr. Evans.  He even gave our son his swing set (which he loved).
Because we knew how much he loved dogs, we were the ones who were looking for a home for Rocky (for a friend) & asked Jeff to adopt him and of course, he did. We used to go over to Jeff’s just to see his pack of dogs (and socialize).
When we moved, my husband & I kept telling each other that we wished we could have moved Jeff next door to us because he was such a good neighbor and friend.  We’ll miss him dearly.
Please contact me if you need anything or need help with his dog as I know Jeff would appreciate that. To know the outcome of where the dog is would be appreciated also as I know Jeff would want to make sure he/she is well taken care of. I can be reached at (717) 715-4547 (Amy)

Again, our thoughts and prayers are with you.  Jeff was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed.

Dear Judy, Judd, Mary and family,

I am so sorry to hear of Jeff’s passing last weekend. I will remember him fondly whenever I see anyone with a long gray beard and a wide brimmed hat.
Your family has withstood a great weight of sadness and loss especially these last few years and I hope and pray that you will continue on. I know your love, family support and God’s grace will help you through this trial. Know that Marian and Jack would be so proud of you all.

Loving memories of Christmas eve gatherings and picnics flood my mind.
Thank you.

Dear Judy, Jud, and Mary,

I am at a loss for words right now trying to say what I feel inside. I felt like someone hit me with a baseball bat when I heard of his passing. Jeff and I were friends ever since 7th grade in L-S High School. That seems like "forever" ago. I remember classes together, Chorus, and Band. Jeff and I were part of a singing Quartet "Mrs. McSparren" put together and we called ourselves "The Variables" because we sang different kinds of music at school assemblies and elsewhere. I remember the band practices and parades where Jeff was the Drum Major.

Jeff and I worked together for several years at Wiremation Industries in Lancaster sometime in the 1980s. Jeff was always a talented and intelligent guy, and he excelled at the work he did there. I was truly sad when he left there.

We lost touch with each other after that, but did bump into him a couple times in the last 2-3 years. It was good to see him.

I am so sad to hear of his passing. All I can think of to further say is to offer you all my deepest sympathy, and to say you will be in my thoughts and prayers going forward as we all deal with our loss.

Sincerely,
Bill Latsha

I met Jeff in 1981 when we worked together at Food Craft, and we hit it off immediately! He was like me, uniquely malajusted, but fun to be with!

His passing completely floored me! I saw him a few month’s ago and our visit was fun as always. He tried to teach me cribbage a few times, but I couldn’t keep up with his expertise. His passing greatly saddens me and my wife Pam. For us the world will truly be a sadder place, knowing he’s not here! If you need anything, I live close by, and would be willing to help. Just give me a call. Our deepest sympathies in the lost of a very nice man.

Please accept my sincerest condolences upon the loss of Jeffry. He was a student of mine when we were the Lampeter-Strasburg Junior-Senior High School in 1962. It is always very sad and distressing to hear of the passing of one of my “kids.” May your inner strength help you cope with these difficult circumstances. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Rest in peace Jeff Mutschler.

Dear Judy and Jud,

I was so saddened to read of Jeff’s passing. So many memories came to mind of our younger years and the great times our families had growing up in the church. (family worship, youth fellowship, the choir..fellowship, fun and happy memories) I saw Jeff several times when he worked at Walmart. I recognized him immediately, but had to identify myself to him. I guess the years do alter appearances and test our memories of earlier times. Just wanted to let you know you are in my thoughts and prayers. God’s blessings and rest in peace, Jeff.
Sincere and heartfelt sympathy to family and friends’
