Knew your Dad for many yrs. and he was active in fundraisers that I was business chair person for. He was proud to attend the K of C out on New Danville Pk. and used to speak about the good dinners they served. Always a smile, he was a regular at the 10:30 am. mass at St. Anne Church and was a very much staunch Catholic. He will be missed by us and those who knew him.
My sincerest sympath to all of you. He fought the fight and won the battle, now resting in the Arms of Our Lord. Rest in Peace, dear frind, Martie.

To Murphy’s family,
He was such a great joy for the brief time my father and I knew him. He was the life saver for my father John when he went into rehab at Mt. Zion in June. If it not for Murphy welcoming my father and befriending him, I think my father’s rehab would have been unbearable. I had the pleasure of eating dinner ( well me listening while they ate ) with Murphy, my dad and 2 other men and they were just making my laugh non-stop.
I know he is in Gods hands now and I truly believe God made sure to put my dad in the room next to him for reason.
My prayers go out to your family.
Kathy Cooper (Kimmich)

My family is so sorry for your loss and offer our condolences. As a regular attendee at 10:30 am mass at St. Anne, and a Notre Dame fan, I could always count on seeing Mr. Murph’s smiling face and rely on getting the most updated info on all ND sports. I will miss talking to him about how the Irish are doing this season – but know he will have one of the best seats in the house (right next to my Dad) cheering on the Irish. God Bless you all.
