Ekaterini K. Morfesis, 91
Ekaterini K. Morfesis, 91, of Lancaster, died at Conestoga View on Friday, April 6, 2012. She was the wife of the late Konstantinos Morfesis who died in 2006. Born in Astakos, Greece, she was the daughter of the late Ioannis and Georgoula Paxinos Kolokithas.
She worked in housekeeping at the Brunswick Hotel for 15 years. Ekaterini was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, where she was very active in the Church Bazaar in the pastry room. She loved her family and her church.
Surviving are her children, Anastasia K. Molfesi of Lancaster and John K., husband of Sandra L. Schmuck Morfesis of Lititz; 4 grandchildren, Kostantinos and Katerina Morfesis, Maria Papas and Dimitrios Kapotis; 5 great-grandchildren, Dimitrios, Anastasia, Nikolaos, Marios Dimitrios, and Zacaria; and her sister Diamanto Michalatos. She was preceded in death by her twin sister at birth and by her son Florias. She will also be missed by her closest relatives here in Lancaster Pete and George Michalopoulos and their families.
Funeral Services will be held 10 AM Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, with The Rev. Dr. Alexander Gousettis, The Rev. Alexander Veronis and The Rev. Hector Firoglanis officiating. Viewings will be held 5-6:30 PM Tuesday, April 10, 2012, with the Trisagion Service at 6:30 PM, at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 414 East King St., Lancaster, PA and also 9-10 AM Wednesday at the church. Interment in Conestoga Memorial Park. Please omit flowers.
