Larry C. Hyle, 65

Larry C. Hyle, 65, of East Petersburg, PA, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2012 at Hospice of Lancaster County in Mount Joy.

He was the husband of Linda M. Yoder Hyle, with whom he would have celebrated 41 years of marriage this coming February 20. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Betty Armstrong Hyle of Lancaster, and the late Carl Hyle.

Larry started his cabinet building business,  Hyle’s Custom Cabinets, in his garage and moved his business to Manheim in 1973. His courteous expertise and fine workmanship showed as his business grew. His clients were always pleased with his work and craftsmanship.

His pride and joy was his rare 1970 Chevelle SS convertible, taking it local and distant car shows. He was a member of the Vagabonds Rod and Custom Assn. for many years. His kindness, humor, and caring personality will all be missed by family and friends.

He was a US Navy veteran , serving two tours of duty in Vietnam as a Damage Controlman 3rd Class.

My sincere condolences to Linda and her family – my  thoughts and prayers are with you in the trying time.  Although I know he will be missed , at least you can take comfort in knowing he is in a better place now.  Even though I only met Larry once, I felt like I knew him thru Linda.  Linda , you have a wonderful loving family who will help you thru this, but keep in mind that if you need anything , even if it is just for someone to talk to , I am only a phone call away.  Take care and you will all be in our thoughts & prayers.

Please know you all are in my thoughts & prayers at this time.
