Arlene H. Kreider, 78
Arlene H. Kreider, 78, formerly of Millersville, died Saturday, August 28, 2010 at ManorCare Health Services. She was the wife of the late J. Roy Kreider who died in 1993. Born in Downingtown, she was the daughter of the late Darlington and Clara Dove Hoskins.
A homemaker, Arlene previously worked as an office clerk for G.O. Carlson Steel in Coatesville for 10 years. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Millersville. She enjoyed reading and watching movies.
Surviving Arlene are her son David R., husband of Diane Keener Kreider of Millersville and their children Joel and Zane Kreider. The last of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
A Viewing will be held from 11 am to 12 pm on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, followed by the Funeral at noon, both at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 441 N. George St Millersville, PA. Arlene’s nephew The Rev. Ronald E. Hoskins will officiate. Interment in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. Please omit flowers. I have known Arlene as her Avon Representative for more years that I care to mention and during this time we had become friends and shared many a high and low of our life. I will miss her in the later capacity as she was always smiling with an upbeat attitude even if she was a little disappointed in the way her day was going. Arlene was a lovely woman and I am delighted to have known and visited with her all these year. My sympathy and prayers to you, her family in this time of great sadness.
