Douglas R. Curtis, 70
Douglas “Doug” R. Curtis, 70, of Lancaster, PA and formerly of Minneapolis, Minnesota lost his battle with cancer after five months on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Hospice of Lancaster County. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska on May 18, 1939 to the late Russell and Eileen (Crowley) Curtis.
Doug is survived by his wife Elaine B. McLaughlin of twenty-nine years.
He was of the Methodist faith.
Doug was a sales agent representing multiple health and life insurance companies. Prior to becoming an insurance agent he was in the commercial artist business for Brandeis Department Stores.
He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, country music, and talking about politics.
Surviving in addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister Jo Anne Goss, wife of Darrell, of Garden City, Kansas, a brother Dan Curtis, of Minneapolis, and the following nieces and nephews, Wayne, Sheryl, Gaylene, Loren Goss, Ingrid and Margaret Curtis, Gregory, Stephen, and Joseph Rife. He was preceded in death by a sister Patricia Rife.
Funeral Services, Visitation, and Interment will be held privately.
