Mary Madonna Henry, 87
Mary Madonna Henry, 87, of Lancaster went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Marianna Sinopoli Madonna. Mary was married to Harold S. Henry Sr. who died August 21, 1997. She worked as a cook at Sacred Heart School Cafeteria for 24 years and retired in 1989. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Her hobbies included bingo, playing cards, and being with family and friends. She will be loved by family and friends and will never be forgotten.
Surviving are two children; Barbara Ann wife of Levi Yoder of Lancaster, Harold S. Jr. husband of Sharon Henry of Holtwood, four grandchildren; Brian, Dana, Patrick, Jason, five great grandchildren, a brother, William Madonna of Lancaster, two sisters; Angelina Pritz and Anna McLaughlin, both of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth and seven brothers; Samuel, Dominic, George, James, Frank, Joseph, and Tony.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 558 W. Walnut Street, Lancaster on Friday, January 9, 2009 at 12:00 Noon with Rev Michael J. Grab as Celebrant. Interment will be in St Joseph New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman. There will be a viewing at the church on Friday from 11:00 AM-12:00 Noon. Please omit flowers. Contributions may be made in Mary’s memory to Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Arrangements are by the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home. It was with a deep sense of sorrow that we learned of the recent death of your dear mother. Death is always a difficult time for those of us who are left to mourn.
